What (And Who) Is Mister Editor?

[Editor's Note: I haven't used this blog as I intended (see below). These days, it's where I turn when I have something to say about a topic that isn't relevant at other blogs where I write or when I just want to make note of something for potential use later. Soon I'll be moving all such blogging to The Enlightened Redneck, which I will be launching as soon as the design work is finished.]

As a journalist, I read numerous stories every day. I’m creating this blog to help me keep track of the ones that capture my fancy, whether for personal or professional reasons, or just because I’m curious.

Mister Editor is patterned after Instapundit, one of the blogs I read daily. Rather than headlines and structured blog posts, you’ll find kickers, short blurbs, pull quotes and plenty of links to keep you informed.

There most assuredly will be stories about:
– Religion (my passion)
– West Virginia (my home state)
– West Virginia University (my alma mater)
– Home-schooling (because my wife is the teacher in our home)
– Adoption (the avenue by which God blessed my wife and me with three children)
– Guatemala (the birthplace of our children and thus our adopted country)
– Journalism, blogging and other forms of writing (my profession)
– Technology and the Internet (the tools of my new media trade)
– Sports (getting too old to play them, but I still love to watch)
– Coins and photography (two of my hobbies)

You’ll find more variety than that, though, because my interests often are driven by what’s in the news. We newshounds can’t help it. And if you find stories that you think I should mention, e-mail your ideas and links to: danny-at-aircongress.com.
